About Steve

Steve has 23 years of motor racing experience behind him. He was the 1993 South African Production Car Champion and also won individual events on many other occasions. He spent 8 years with the Ford Motor Company both as a racing driver and manager of the South African Ford Racing Team—all of which included building and developing Ford race cars.

Having built and raced the pre-2004 Fiestas, as well as the later model Mk6 Fiestas, his knowledge of the ROCAM, DURATEC and ZETEC-S engines is comprehensive.

Every bit of advantage from the motors in this production car category was explored and exploited to the utmost. Steve also happens to be a qualified Mechanical Engineer!

It is from this very professional background that the SWR Performance Parts and Kits have been developed.

I’m extremely pleased with these SWR headers for my ’07 fiesta st 150, or XR4 as it’s known here in OZ. The increase in torque at lower revs (2000-4000rpm) is especially impressive. My current setup includes induction, high flow (200cpsi) cat and 12″ high flow resonator, the rest is standard, and the sound is ‘sweet’. It’s no louder than standard at idle, but once you start hitting 3000rpm, it delivers a nice throaty sound. Special mention must be given to the man himself; Steve, and Lindsay for their excellent customer service and all-round friendly approach. Any query I had was promptly replied, and I would gladly purchase an SWR product in the future.

Best modification by far ...! This 120kit completely changing the character of the car ... From a downtown little sportscar to a street/track racer ! more power, bigger torque, better throttle response and it sounds pretty amazing ... Highly recommended ... 5 Stars !!!
